Ah, summer break and vacation are finally over and it’s time to head back to the endless cycle of obligations, limited spare time, and back pain.

What if we conduct a competition for y’all to have something to look forward to this fall?

Have you always dreamt about designing your own gear in Goat Simulator 3? How about winning a PS5 or an Xbox Series X/S? As Marie Curie once said, “Don’t let your dreams be dreams”. 

Show us your craziest idea for a gear or a whole gear set suited to the Goat Simulator 3 world and you might be one of three winners that will get their gear added to the game along with your credits. Oh, and did we mention that the first prize is a current-gen console (PS5 or Xbox Series X/S) of your choice?

All three winners will also receive a Goat in a Box (our deluxe edition of the game that contains the holy grail: a goat plushie), and a Goat Kit that includes a bunch of limited edition goaty stuff that you can’t get a hold of anywhere else.

The competition starts on August 11th, 2023.
The last day to submit your idea is September 3rd, at 11:59 PM CET, 2023.
The winners will be announced on October 4th, 2023 during a livestream on our YouTube channel.

How to enter:

1. Read the T&Cs and the rules before entering the competition. By entering the competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to the T&Cs.

2. Download a template here if you prefer to use that. Otherwise, it’s ok to let your creative juice flow and use something other than the template to help show off your design. 

3. Design one single gear or a whole set using the template (or not) that you would like to see in the Goat Simulator 3 world. It’s up to you if you want it to have an ability* or if it’s only cosmetic gear.

4. Share your design on social media (TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, or Instagram), tag us**, and use the hashtag ‘#PilgorsProtypes’.
   Tell us the name of your gear, a short description of it, and if it has any kind of abilities, etc.
   
   If you want to use Discord you must join our server if you haven’t already. Go to ‘#gear_competition’ for more information.
   
   If you don't want to share it on social media, you can email your design, its name, and description to ‘goatsimulator3@coffeestain.se’. The subject line must be ‘Gear Competition’.
   Please also include YOUR name, the city and country you live in, and your age.
   

5. Three winners will be announced on October 4, 2023, during a livestream.

* If you decide to add an ability to your gear and you win, we will try our best to make your creative vision come to life as best as we possibly can. Keep in mind that some things are simply not possible to do in the game and we might have to tweak it a bit (after a conversation with you, of course).

** The social media handle may vary depending on the platform. Look at the FAQ down below to find the correct one for the platform you want to share your design on.

Rules

•  Show us your design as clearly as possible, either as a static image or video
•  You must be able to show a visual concept of your idea. Only text is not enough
•  You can use the template we created or 3D print your design, craft it, etc
•  You must tell us the name of the gear and a short description of how it works
•  AI-generated content is prohibited and will be disqualified
•  Entries that contain any type of NSFW content, racism, hatred, discrimination, or are in any way offensive, will be disqualified. This includes texts as well as visual concepts
•  We will need your contact information to be able to send you the prizes if you win
•  This is mainly a solo project, but it’s ok to do it together with max ONE friend
•  Do not repost/upload other people’s ideas
•  Do not send in your ideas via DMs/Messenger
•  Only people located in the EU, UK, and US can participate in the competition
•  You must be 13 years or older to participate in the competition
•  If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain the consent of a parent or guardian before entering

We need your permission to:
•  Add your name to the game if you win
•  Use your name, age, city of residence, country of residence, and your gear design/description in any publicity carried out by us (for example on our social media platforms)

FAQ

Q: Can anyone in the world send in their contribution or is it only for specific regions?
A: Only people located in the EU, UK, and US can participate in the competition this time.

Q: Can I send in several gear ideas?
A: Yes, but only one of your ideas will be picked if you’re one of the winners. 

Q: I want to make a whole gear set. Is that ok?
A: Absolutely!


Q: On which social media platforms is the competition being held?
A: The social media that we’re going to use for this competition is: TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and Discord. Otherwise, you can send us an email directly at ‘goatsimulator3@coffeestain.se’.

Q: Do I have to use the templates?
A: No, you can show off your gear in any type of creative form that you’d like. You can 3D print it, craft it, or whatever floats your goat. 

Q: When will you announce the winners?
A: The winners will be announced during our livestream on October 4, 2023.

Q: When is the last date to send in ideas?
A: The last day to submit your idea is September 3, at 11:59 PM CET, 2023.

Q: Does everyone that wins get to pick a console?
A: No, only the person that wins 1st place. 

Q: What kind of console can you win?
A: The person that wins 1st place gets to choose between a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S. 

Q: Can I make a YouTube video where I show my gear idea?
A: Absolutely. Just make sure to tag us ‘@CoffeeStainNorth’ or send a video link to ‘goatsimulator3@coffeestain.se’ with the subject line ‘Gear Competition’.

Q: I don’t want to share my idea on social media. Is there any other way to show my design?
A: You can send an email with your design and description to ‘goatsimulator3@coffeestain.se’. The subject line must be ‘Gear Competition’.

Q: Do I have to add an ability to gear? Could I just make a gear?
A: It’s up to you if you just want to make a cosmetic-only gear or if you want to make a gear with an ability. Both are fine by us. 

Q: When will the gears show up in the game?
A: The gears will not be added to the game right away. It will take a couple of months to ensure it works as intended. The gears will be added as soon as they are done in a future update.


Q: Can I make a gear together with my friend?
A: We see this mainly as a solo project. But it’s ok to do it together with ONE friend. 

And keep in mind that we can only give out one PS5 or Xbox, one Goat in a Box, and one Goat Kit if you and your friend win 1st place.

Q: If I win, can I get a Switch instead?
A: No.

Q: What about a turtle?
A: No.

Terms and conditions (T&Cs)

Terms & Conditions of the Gear Competition: Pilgor’s Prototypes

Coffee Stain Publishing AB, with the registered office at Hertig Johans Gata 6, 541 30 Skövde, Sweden and with company number 559073-7069 (“Coffee Stain”, “we”, “us”) coordinates the “Gear Competition: Pilgor’s Prototypes” (the “Competition”) via email, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and Discord (the “Platforms”).

The Competition will be operated from August 11, 2023, at 10 AM CET until September 3, 2023, at 11:59 PM CET in accordance with these terms and conditions, the end user licence terms and conditions (“EULA”) for Goat Simulator 3 (the “Game”), which can be found here: https://www.goatsimulator3.com/eula/, and the privacy policy for the Game, which can be found here: https://www.goatsimulator3.com/privacy-policy/ (“Privacy Policy”).

1. ACCEPTANCE

By participating in the Competition, you are indicating your acceptance of these terms and conditions, the EULA and the applicable Platform’s terms and conditions, and you are indicating that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, the EULA, the Privacy Policy and/or applicable Platform’s terms and conditions, you should not apply to enter the Competition.

2. ELIGIBILITY

2.1
You may only enter the Competition if you:

2.1.1
are aged 13 years or older. If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain the consent of a parent or guardian before entering;

2.1.2
have a valid email address; and

2.1.3
are legally entitled to enter this Competition.

2.1.4
are located in the EU, UK or US.

2.2
You cannot enter the Competition if you or any person related to you is an employee, consultant or agent of Coffee Stain or any of its affiliates.

3. COMPETITION ENTRY

3.1
You can enter the Competition by creating and submitting an original goat gear design for the Game (“Design”) individually or as a group of up to two users (a “Group”) by uploading your design and short description, tagging us, using the hashtag #PilgorsPrototypes on either TikTok, Twitter, YouTube and or Instagram. For Discord entries you must join the Goat Simulator server and upload your design and description there. For email entries you must send your design, its name and description to goatsimulator3@coffeestain.se. The subject line must be “Gear Competition”.

3.2
There is no charge for entering the Competition. You can upload as many Designs as you wish, but only one submission per individual or Group entrant will be eligible for a Prize specified below.

3.3
Entries to the Competition must be uploaded before the end date and time specified above.

3.4
We can refuse entry for any reason, without notice to you. We will not accept any entries which we consider in our sole discretion do not comply with the following submission guidelines:

Submission Guidelines

3.4.1
The entries must only contain content created by humans or goats. No AI-generated content please.

3.4.2
The entries must not contain corrupted files, viruses, or any other similar files, the intent of which is to damage the operation of another’s computer.

3.4.3
The entries must not contain any content that is sexually explicit, offensive, illegal, pornographic or obscene.

3.4.4
The entries must not include material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability or sexual orientation.

3.4.5
The entries must not defame or invade the publicity or privacy rights of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person’s personal or proprietary rights or constitute or suggest intellectual property infringement.

3.4.6
The entries must not include material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any jurisdiction where entries are created or submitted.

3.4.7
Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification.

4. PRIZE

4.1
There is a limit of one (1) Prize per individual entrant / Group, and a Prize cannot be claimed by a third party on behalf of the winner.

4.2
There will be 10 of Prizes awarded as part of the Competition, as follows:

4.2.1
Winner: PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, their gear design and credits added in the game, one Goat in a Box, and one Goat Kit

4.2.2
First runner up: Their gear design and credits added in the game, one Goat in a Box, and one Goat Kit

4.2.3
Second runner up: Their gear design and credits added in the game, one Goat in a Box, and one Goat Kit

each a “Prize”.

4.3
In the event that there are not enough entrants to award the Prizes, we reserve our right not to award Prizes or to award fewer than 10 prizes.

4.4
The winning Design(s) will be showcased in the Game and may feature across Coffee Stain’s and/or the Game’s social media channels, websites and promotional materials related to the competition.

4.5
A Prize cannot be transferred, or exchanged for anything else and we may substitute the Prize at our own discretion without prior notification to entrants.

5. DETERMINATION OF WINNER, NOTIFICATION AND PRIZE COLLECTION

5.1
The winners of the Competition will be chosen by a panel of at least 4 members of the team at Coffee Stain or by judges appointed by Coffee Stain. Coffee Stain reserves the right to hold a public vote to elect the winners.

5.2
Winners will be notified by email or a communication sent using the Platform used to enter by no later than one month after the end of the Competition. The notification to the winners may be made public and the selection of the winners by Coffee Stain is final.

5.3
The winners must accept their Prize by responding to the notification from Coffee Stain within one month of it having been sent (“Response Date”). In the response, the winners must confirm their full name, email address, delivery address (if applicable for the Prize) and a contact telephone number.

5.4
If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond by midday on the Response Date, the prize may be awarded to a substitute winner instead.

5.5
If any part of a Prize is being delivered to a winner, Coffee Stain will confirm the details of such delivery directly with the winner.

5.6
The winners may be requested to participate in activities related to the Competition. By entering the Competition, winners consent to the use of their name, age, city of residence, country of residence and/or Design in any publicity carried out by Coffee Stain.

5.7

6. RESERVATIONS AND LIMITATIONS

6.1
We can exclude any entries if we have a reasonable belief that the entrant has breached these terms and conditions or the EULA, or the spirit of these terms and conditions or the EULA.

6.2
We make no representation that this Competition is lawful or permitted outside of the United Kingdom and Sweden. If you access or enter from outside these territories then you are responsible for compliance with all applicable local laws.

6.3
We are not responsible for any loss, damage or delay caused:

6.3.1
by your participation in the Competition;

6.3.2
by third parties, including losses, damages or delays caused by fraud or any communication network; or

6.3.3
as a result of any incorrect or incomplete information provided by any entrant.

6.4
We do not limit our own liability for death or personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misstatement.

6.5
We reserve the right to cancel the Competition at any time, for any reason.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

7.1
By submitting a Design to the Competition, and in consideration of each party’s rights and obligations under these terms and conditions, entrants assign to us, with full title guarantee and including by way of present assignment of past, present, and future copyright, all intellectual property rights in the submitted Design. This includes the exclusive right to do and to authorise others to do any and all acts in relation to the Design throughout the world together with all rights of action in respect of any past or existing infringements of such intellectual property rights by any third party.

7.2
You also hereby waive any so-called moral rights, rights of authors and any similar rights and therefore grant to us total and unlimited rights to use, modify and adapt the Design for all purposes and in any manner we think fit.

8. DATA PROTECTION AND DIRECT MARKETING

8.1
These terms and conditions should be read in conjunction with the Privacy Policy.

8.2
By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you are giving your consent to us to:

8.2.1
process your personal data;

8.2.2
disclose your personal data to our affiliates;

8.2.3
disclose your personal data to third parties, but only to the extent necessary for that third party to deliver the Prize;

8.2.4
use your name in Competition materials or marketing activity;

8.2.5
transfer your data outside of the European Economic Area; and

8.2.6
send you emails about related products or services.

8.3
You must let us know if any of your personal data is incorrect or becomes out of date.

8.4
If you want to withdraw your consent, you can do so at any time by writing to: goatsimulator3@coffeestain.se. If you withdraw your consent, you will not be eligible to participate in the Competition or win the Prize.

9. APPLICATION OF THESE TERMS & CONDITIONS AND APPLICABLE LAW

9.1
We can change these terms and conditions at any time and those changes may take retrospective effect.

9.2
If there is any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and the EULA from time to time, these terms and conditions will take precedence.

9.3
These terms and conditions are governed by Swedish law and you can bring proceedings in respect of the Competition or these terms and conditions in the Swedish courts. In addition you may have the legal right to bring proceedings in your local jurisdiction and if this is the case then you may bring proceedings there. For instance if you live in England you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the Game in either the English or the Swedish courts.
